Access The Approvals And Notes Screen
Use the Approvals and Notes screen to:
- Move Campaigns through the approval process
- Add notes relating to the Campaign
- View the progress of the Campaign throughout the approval process
open the Approvals and Notes screen from Campaign View:
- In Campaign View, navigate to the required Campaign and click the
button.
- Select Approvals and Notes from the drop-down menu.
open the Approvals and Notes screen from Campaign Designer:
- Open the Campaign in the Campaign View screen, the Campaign Designer screen opens.
- Click the Approvals and Notes button
at the top of the Campaign Designer screen.
- Click the Refresh
button at the top of the Approvals and Notes screen to view the most recent campaign state and any added notes.
Approvals and Notes Screen For Non-Approvers
The following options are available for users without approve campaigns permissions:
- Approval Group: A drop-down list of approval groups that you can request approval from. The drop-down default is No notification email requested. Only select a different option to the default if you need to request approval via email.
- Request Approval: Click this button to change the campaign state to pending approval and start the approval process. This will also send Approvals emails to the selected Approval Group. At this point the campaign and any linked Email Manager creatives are locked and cannot be edited until being moved back to an editing state.
- Withdraw Approval Request: Click this button to withdraw a campaign from the approval process and move it back to an editing state, allowing changes to be made. No email notifications are sent when this is used.
Approvals and Notes screen for Approvers
The following options are available for users with approve campaign permissions:
- Start Approving: This option changes the state of the campaign to approving so it is clear to all users that the approval task is being performed. A notification email is sent to the user that requested approval.
- Approved: Approves the campaign, allowing it to be started by any user with the correct permission. An email notification is sent at this point.
- Approve: Approves the campaign so it can be started.
- Reject: Puts the campaign back to the Editing state. The reasons for rejection can be addressed and approval requested again.
- Stop Approving: Puts the campaign back to the Pending Approval state. Allows the user to withdraw the approval request and edit the campaign, or another approver to start approving the campaign.
- Withdraw Approval: Puts the campaign back to the Editing state. Changes can be made to the campaign and it can be re-submitted for approval.
